My name is Christi Smith. I currently live in Minooka, Il residing w/ my 11 year old son, Jake, and husband Steve. Jake, a 6th grader at Channahons 3 Rivers School, plays baseball, basketball and runs track. I have 2 older boys. Drew, 22, is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois and working now as a mechanical engineer in Ohio. Mark, age 20, is a junior at the University of Illinois, a geology major w/ a secondary education minor. I currently work as a personal trainer at 3 local gyms, assist Tim Graf in his speed enhancement training on the weekends at JJC and am the Chief Training Officer (CTO) of Pro-Motion Sports. I founded Pro-Motion Sports out of the great need for sports development training in this area. Pro-Motion Sports is about teaching skill and aptitude in a variety of (5) different biomotor features to develop young athletes. Strength exercises, speed mechanics and movement sequences are broken down and sequentially organized for optimal performance gains. Sports development training consists of training the body to produce more power more efficiently. Speed and power gains are the result of performing a series of movements and activities to help the body perform at peak velocities. Pro-Motion Sports integrates effective dynamic warm-ups, works on increasing flexibility and pillar strength, focuses on improving multi-directional output, running mechanics and metabolic function, all to help the athlete compete at his/her highest level. Pro-Motion Sports is about educating athletes along their sporting careers. I always tell my clients that if I cannot explain the how and whys of what they are being asked to do&I wont have them do it. Please feel free to ask questions; call or email me at anytime.... and remember, "the world is moving so fast that there are days when the person who says it can't be done is interrupted by the person who is doing it." Congratulations for jumping into this arena and I hope you enjoy the challenges that lie ahead. I have a favorite motto&together we can. Good luck. |
